This French country home embraces casual and green waterfront living. Sophisticated Solar analysis enabled an artful balancing act which minimizes late afternoon heat gain, maximizes Puget Sound views, and creates a convective loop that naturally and passively cools the home on warm summer days. A Geothermal system powers the Radiant floor heating on cooler days, and an HRV provides fresh air year-round. The landscaping embraces the same informal design approach, using Native vegetation, Habitat restoration, and a Rainwater harvesting system.
