Principle, Ripple Design Studio
Jim Dearth brings a world of experience to the timeless, elegant home design for which his firm is known. Born by the Pacific Northwest waters of Whidbey Island, Washington, to a family that loved to sail and travel, he developed his design sensibilities over many years of living and working around the globe. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree at the University of Colorado, one of the nation’s early and pre-eminent green design schools. He developed his European perspective on design working as an architect in both London and Paris. Long before “being green” was popular, he went on to become one of the first LEED-accredited professionals in the country. In 2005, he founded Ripple Design Studio. Jim is an active member of the local green building community and a passionate voice for design that lives in harmony with its environment.
